What a stunner.

These cars fetch 90-100,000 euros in Germany.

I had the pleasure of seeing one in the flesh earlier this year.

Link.

Dunno , you aren't bad looking , so you might get a good price ;)

That's lovely, just look at the dashboard, so much style in there.

Whilst it will be old, slow and a little uncomfortable it oozes style in a way modern cars don't. It looks just right sat in that Mews too.
It's motoring equivalent of a Riva Aquarama.

The dash was a wonderful example of ergonomic design and was available in a choice of SEVEN different exotic wood finishes - all hand crafted .

Older - yes

Slow - Hmmm - it can cruise all day long at the legal limit and comfortably exceed it ( my 219 with 85bhp can touch 100 and the 220SE with IIRC 115 bhp will obviously be good for a bit more ) ; these cars were designed for use on the new Autobahns and could sustain high speed all day , unlike other cars of the period .

Uncomfortable ? ABSOLUTELY NOT ! These cars are all supremely comfortable and will put any modern car to shame in this department - whenever I take anyone in mine the first comment is ALWAYS how comfortable the seats are , and that is before the 'magic carpet' ride is taken into consideration . These heavier cars with compliant suspension and 'high profile' tyres ( mine runs Michelin X 6.70x13 bias ply tyres) will float over undulations and isolate you completely from bumps and potholes that constantly jarr and irritate in modern cars .

These are the cars that Mercedes-Benz built their modern-day reputation for quality and reliability on and were in no small part one of the contributors towards the German 'Economic Miracle' of the 1950's !

Stunning car...

With the two tone green, it could compliment my 124... ah.. what dream may become..

though the narrator who took the video sounds a tad doppy and thus kinda detracts from an otherwise wonderful video of a wonderful car...

Dillan ,

agree totally about the narration . A car as lovely as this one needs no 'hyping up' at all !

I like the colour too - 1950's cars often suit pastel shades .

Assuming the auction runs its full course (which I doubt) I'll start by guessing an eventual sale price of £57,000.

1: Ringway £57,000

Now at £23,600 and still not hit reserve - 4 hours to go. Would have thought it would have been closer to your guesses - maybe it'll rocket when proxy bids start kicking in.
