I have a 2014 C Class Estate S204. I had 3 electronic niggles.
1. The Eco start/stop function hasn't worked for well over a year now, assumed it was the auxiliary battery. Hasn't been a problem as I'm using it as a Taxi I never used it anyway.
2. When I'm sat waiting for a job, engine off but ignition on (listening to the radio), when I start the engine the the command unit (satnav, radio ect.) would turn off and start up again as though the power was turned off, and also when the satnav comes back on no matter where I am for some strange reason it thinks I'm back at home for about 10 -15 seconds.
3. Last week the climate control unit would be powerless when I started the car first thing on a morning. It would be off for about 20 secs then a just start up and be ok for the rest of the day.
Reading up on the last problem lots of people were saying their units played up after a battery failure, so thought I'd give my battery a check. The date stamp was 2013 can't remember what month and checking the voltage was 12.6v. Seeing the battery was so old thought I'd go for preventative maintenance and bought a new one, thought I'd been lucky I'd gone this long without it failing.

Hope this may help anyone in a similar boat. Like me never really think of the age of the battery until it fails.
