Hi,
Possibly old question but couldn’t thread…..
My blower has stopped working, but actual motor works fine out if car. Anyone got the wiring diagram details of the 3 wires on the plug ie voltages and which does what ?
I need to confirm voltage at motor as I can’t find a fuse for it.
Thanks

Sounds to me like a problem with the heater blower resistor unit
Hi, yes, understand however I’m not sure it’s as simple as that because the plug has three wires, I’ve got 12v perm, earth ( both thick wires) and the middle, thin wire, has nothing on it, engine on/off and turning the control knob,….. I would expect a variable voltage on that…… so possibly a fuse but I can’t find one !

Hi,
Thanks, that’s exactly what I wanted….. now,
I’ve checked again and I have 0 volts on the thin wire, so my next Q to you is , do you know where that wire comes from ( rotary control nob?) and what fuse number it’s associated with.
Thanks in anticipation

It’ll be in the underbonnet fuse box, on the driver’s side of the car, but they change a bit from year to year. There should be s legend on the underside of the lid. You are looking for Tempmatic, probably a 5A fuse.

Hi again, yup, that’s the one, fuse 36, it’s fine so there’s a problem between there and the plug to the fan……

Have you got a wiring diagram for that part of the loom ?

Update,
Thanks to info received I have proved the motor works, and at variable speeds, so the problem is the missing voltage on the control wire…. Now to remove climate control unit.

Update, replacement climate control from scrap yard, £20, all working now, thanks to everyone for help, particularly JOBSWORTH.
Thanks again
