Viano
Hi all,
Viano 2012 3ltr. Going to be changing the car battery. So I have been told its a straight swap as the viano does not have a battery management.
So my concern is when I disconnect the battery how will this effect the radio. Which is the original factory fitted command . I have been told it will be OK.
I am asking if anyone could confirm that radio will be OK and won't need a code etc
Thank you

It will be OK.

The infotainment system's antitheft function 'locks' the unit to the car's VIN. You can disconnect and reconnect the battery as many times as you like, the radio will work just fine. The only time when you'll have an issue is if swapping the COMAND unit to/from another car.

That's great, thank you for the response. And also the explanation. So good to go.

No code needed for a 2012 radio.
Great and thank you for your response
