Rear parcel shelf advice

I have just bought a 2013 c220 sport amg estate. 2.1 diesel. I've noticed the large retracting parcel shelf comes out from the back when going over any bumps.been in the boot and can not find any clips that keep it clipped in,Any ideas ?

Do you mean the hinged part goes up and down when going over bumps?

If so it’s normal.

The big bar that goes across from side to side.that you pull the whole shelf out of.it my other estate it locked in with clips that you could clip out .it just doesn't seem right or there's something missing

Mine is an E350 Estate.

My parcel shelf goes in and out very easily, as standing at the rear on the left side is a push button at the far left of the shelf, push this down and pull the left side out towards you then merely slide out the right side.

To put back push in the right hand circular metal part into the receptor then just push the left side back into the small slide type shelf until it clicks into place.

It is very secure and cannot pop out.

Hi Thanks for reply and can only pressume the 220 are different as mine has none of them
