Rear sam problem on w211

So I had gotten my hand on some led facelift tail lights but when I put them on on my 2004 prefacelift model it would constantly flash. Had it checked out by a mechanic he said I would need a rear sam module of a facelift car for the lights to work. I recently bought a facelift rear sam plugged everything in, and now it just works randomly. Sometimes it would work sometimes the backups come on and couple second later it would work again. I'm getting messages that rear taillights doesn't work and there's battery protection on, but radio, ac seems to work fine? My question is maybe I need to get it recoded to my car?

It’s best to find a specialist for this, as the SAM unit may have minor changes from pre-facelift to facelift.

Or you can try copy the code from your old SAM to the new one.
