Reassign steering wheel controls

Bit of an odd request, but on my B Class W246, the steering wheel controls on the right side have the standard volume and call buttons. I was wondering if it's possible (through a software patch perhaps) to reassign the call answer and call end buttons to be next track and previous track instead?

I find it's strange I can control the volume from the steering wheel but if I want to change the track (which I do quite often) I have to use the buttons on the dash.

Pretty sure the answer would be no.
Are there no media control buttons at all on the steering wheel?

I would be very surprised if you could not change track on the steering wheel.

Ever since steering wheel controls was a feature on MB you could do this...right back to 1999.

Only if you select the audio screen on the dash cluster, otherwise you cant on MBs.

Other marques you can :(

This is what my steering wheel looks like:

If the instrument cluster display section is on the radio, then I think the buttons on the left then do track/skip

Yep make sure you have "audio" displayed on the Speedo display not the outside temperature. If your tracks do not go up and down with the buttons on the left then you have a wiring issue
