Would getting my engine re mapped get rid of concerns I’m having with adblue sensor bringing on my engine management light?

Welcome.

A remapping won't change anything regarding the AdBlue system.

What you can do, is an 'AdBlue Delete', which is illegal, and potentially render your car uninsurable, but some people still do that.... Google it if you're still interested.

(Also, there's a dealer software update, aka 'Dieselgate update', that - if applied - will likely cause further issues, so best avoided)

Not sure best plan going forward

Sadly, there isn't one... once AdBlue rears its ugly head, you must open your wallet.....

If you could somehow fix it quickly (replace the NOx sensor and pray that the EML will go away) and then sell the car, then that's what I would do.

Others will advise you to go down the AdBlue delete route and keep the car. Not what I would have done.
