mercedes E220 estate
Hello all, just joined the forum, I have a E220 estate W124 1995.
I'm hoping somewhere in this gold mine of information theirs a "how to" section on how to replace the front wings and the best place to get them from, all info greatly excepted.

I would try the dealer. I got a genuine wing for an sl for 250.

Open the front door, look down the gap at the door hinge, there's a wing fixing bolt there that's a pita to remove and replace, also the 2 bottom bolts( rearwards of the mudflap) tend to be rusty. Apart from that, removal and replacement is easy enough.
If you have patience the right wing in the right colour might come up on eBay/@dronsfields,etc
For an otherwise mint car,buy genuine wings @ MB and get a body shop to fit/paint.
Good luck.

Try non genuine, I bought two, they were 50 something the pair, ok it was 4-5 years back.

before the naysayers start, they did fit and were of good quality, here's the proof,

Wings

This is what i am after ,i contacted a few scrap yards to see if i an pick 2 up in my paint code 355 Diamond blue. But no luck yet. Looks like i will have to purchase a good rust free pair, and have them fitted.

You might be lucky but their design means there always a bit of a rust trap round the lip of the wheel arch. This leads to high demand for replacements meaning any second hand wings in good nick are snapped up quickly. The best option are Mercedes parts but they are quite expensive now. Best perhaps to go for good quality pattern parts if you are strapped for cash- remember you have to paint them too.

Does anybody know if the wings from the dealer come with the hole for the side indicator?

I can only find the part number for the wings without the side indicator on the online epc, which incape are listing at £209 each
