Had a few issues with car recently but all solved, car drives fine and had no issues. Drove 270 miles yesterday and whenever i stopped at service station my car would restrict revs to 2.5 - 3k. Turn car off and on again a mile down the road and it works fine. Its auto and i try put it in first straight away when engines hot and try keep revs past 3k for a mile or 2 and that occosianally worked. But theres obviously something wrong, no codes or lights. Drove it today and no issues.

any one experienced this?

You need to have the car scanned for diagnostic fault codes buddy , the car is going into limp mode so restricts revs to 3k .

I did all the repairs bar 2 of them and garage checked everything over and diagnosed the last two problems i had, and then fixed them. Everythings come back fine from them. I rang them yesterday to say whats happening and its getting taken back in after half term as hes on holiday atm. Thats why im seeing if anyone has had a similar issue as its only doing it on hotstart on first ignition but after turning of without removing key and turning back on its fine. If theres a few simple issues people have had then id happily spend a day or 2 checking over them to have use of my car sooner rather than wait a week and ruin my lads half term.

Forget to mention its a 2012 c250cdi with 106000 miles, up to date on servicing ect

Long shot, but worth the easy check: do the brake lights work?

Maybe consider buying an icarsoft diagnostic scanner . The list of things it could be is big

Wouldn’t that show a dash light warning in red ?
You're probably right W1ghty. I only mentioned it as I had the same problem with a Sprinter ( albeit an old one ); wouldn't rev but no warning lights.
Scanning the codes revealed a failed brake light switch.

Its been scanned, no issues and Its gong back garage next week anyway, so if you saw what i put id rather spend a couple days checking any similar issues people have had so my lads half term ent ruined. Im not spending another £140 when its getting scanned again for free next week. All good being cocky but perhaps you should read the thread to gain context

I missed your first mention of codes buddy , but perhaps challenging someone who tried to help probably isn‘t the way to go ?.
Good luck with getting it sorted
