Revs limited to 2500 and P0101 code

Hello, I’m having an issue with my 61 plate C220 CDI Blueefficiency (W204) and hoped someone here might have some insight.

When I took the car for a long-ish drive and accelerated (I.e. slip road) it would lose power and limit the revs to around 2500 and wouldn’t quite change gear properly. However, turn the engine off and back on and all was well. No warning light would come on at all.

Now the car is limited to around 2500 revs and the check engine light has come on. I have scanned it with an icarsoft and get a P0101 code. The MAF sensor is relatively new but I have cleaned it anyway. I have checked for split pipes and can’t find anything, though it is possible I’ve missed a split.

Clearing the codes temporarily removes the check engine light but the car still won’t go above 2500 revs.

If anyone can suggest where to look next, I’d be very appreciative.

I have GLE 250D 2016 and i have a p0101 MAF malfunction and when i reset the light it comes on when i start tye engine again and power is restricted to 2500 rpm when temp rises . Did you able to fix the issue ? I was hoping to know the solution thanks

Do you get any black smoke? Whats the mileage? Sounds like a split boost pipe to me. Had similar symptoms a while ago. You will never find the split, they used a smoke machine on the intake to locate it at my local specialist, its was only a small split and not visible.
