Hi All,
Had a bit of an odd one. I was working in Florida for the last three weeks, car was parked up outside.
Battery didn't go flat, started 1st time.
Took it for a drive and power was down and seemed to be doing a Regen, ECU commanded TCU driving in higher gears.
Further driving, the regen seemed to continue, but them the EML came on and limp mode started.
Drove home and got a P0470 which is the exhaust pressure sensor (B60) on the EGR hot flow pipe.
Anyway, I then took the plug off with a view to giving the sensor a clean, however could not find a deep 22mm socked to get it off.
I gave the contacts a clean and re-plugged.
Then went to see if DTC was still there.
NOPE GONE!!! Drove it
so It's fixed for the moment.
My FORUM Question is --- does this sensor commonly fail or has my contact cleaning worked for the time being and I do not need to order one?
PS I see there is a Perberg one on Autodoc, which should be as good as the Merc one.
PPS Does anyone have access to EPC to check the right part for my car? It seems after 2013 it was an absolute pressure sensor. The prior ones were relative
and had a "to atmosphere" hole in them. My car is 2014 but I have no idea if I have a Relative or Absolute?
