When I press the button for the rear wiper it's not working. I got a red light briefly for a while, when I first pressed the button. Like a quick flash then nothing. I took all the rear boot lining away and removed the motor from the hole it's located. But still no movement. Give it a good going over with wd40 to try and free it slightly. No good. Is it worth buying a second hand rear motor. As I do rather like the rear wiper to be working. Especially when doing reversing monuvers. Also do any owners that have had this issue believe it's down to a faulty rear wiper motor? Don't want to spend silly money. Thought a second hand motor wouldn't be a bad Idea. Or if anyone has any other ideas I could check that could be causing the rear wiper not to work.

Cheers

The price of a second hand wiper motor is not the world so I'll get one..

Cheers

Could it be a fuse?

Fuse is good. The spindle on the motor is so corroded, I think it will need a new motor. Taken it off, and apart, it's definitely had it. I don't really have a way of applying 12v to the motor.

I ordered a second hand rear wiper motor. It arrived this afternoon. I installed it to the car. I now have a working rear window wiper 😁.

If you do have this problem with the rear wiper button flickering and the wiper not working, it's more than likely a faulty wiper motor. It's a fiddley job removing the rear door boot lining but it's not to bad either. Then it's just 3 bolts to undo on the motor and one nut on the wiper arm to remove old motor from the wiper arm. And 1 little screw that holds the plastic casing for the rear boot lock.

Job completed ✅👍
