My new to me C250 CDI Blue efficiency (2012) Becker Map Pilot navigation system works fine except there's no audio? Volume is ok, audio works only when the map screen 'repeat' function is pressed!! Anybody got any further ideas. Thanks

Is you mute announcements setting ticked? Otherwise try factory reset

From manual...

Mute announcement
You can mute the navigation system
announcements.
>In the map toolbox, select the
icon.
The navigation system announcements
have now been muted. In the lower area of
the map display, the corresponding icon is
displayed, indicating that announcements
have been muted.
>In the map toolbox, select the
icon to unmute the announcements.

Too late to help with your enquiry, which I'm glad to hear you have resolved, although did the factory reset cause you to lose any addresses etc stored in your navigation? I had a similar problem with my sat nav audio recently - there was sound but it was very faint. Wasn't initially affected by the radio volume, but I eventually found out that I had to alter the navigation volume while it was giving directions. I think the problem was caused by turning the radio volume down at some point, and I must have done that while it was making a navigation announcement.

Hi, no I've only just got the car so only a couple of routes stored. Mine had no sound at all, but using the repeat function on the map screen instruction was audible!!! I tried the trick of using a cd whilst on navi and ejecting the disc then you can alter the navi volume. There is a good tuition video on 'youtube' for the Becker system.

Richard I have the same model and the same problem, I also I have no "beep" with the parking sensors, did you do a full reset on the system to get your Audio back? I am hoping if so it might work for me LOL ....Thanks

Welcome.

That post is 2 years old, the member might not be around...

Reading through the thread, I suggest that you just carry-on with the full system reset and see what happens?

Also, make sure that your Becker Map Pilot unit has the latest firmware, it's a free download from Becker's website (but it requires that the unit is registered online first).

Thanks Mark, I have achieved the desired results by performing a full reset, which is fortunate as my version is not the "Plug in Module" it needs to be loaded from DVD, and again fortunatley enough for me its 2019 version which is adequate. As for the volume of the parking sensor's not resolved this as yet, for some version my STAR will not talk to the vehicle, though it does happily talk to my SL500. I know within start you can both adjust the volume and the frequency of the Beep/Buzzer. The default setting is 50% for volume and IIRC 475khz for the frequency.

Regard Stu
