Save me £90 please

Have a minor problem , the chrome trim on the door moulding front n/s has lost 2 of the clips that hold it in place. Checked the parts on the web ( russian site ) but couldnt find a suitable clip. Went to 2 Stealers and have been told by both that a clip is not available seperately and i will have to replace the complete moulding at £90. anyone any ideas??

What does the clip look like? Shouldn't be too hard to make something or find something similar from a place like Frosts.

Show us the clips, I bet they're exactly the same as clips from other parts of the car, older models, etc. They might even be common to other makes of vehicle.

This happened on the CLK.
Clips were cheap enough (after arguing they were all I wanted and not the entire trim), but they are a bugger to put in. In the end, after busting all but 2 of them, I opted for double sided 3M tape.
Has not come off so far after 6 months. :bannana:
