SL 350 (2013 R231), headlight covers appear to have fine dusk inside (when lights on)

Hello

I have just purchased a low millage (45k miles) SL 350, 2013 reg and I, noticed the headlights seem to have a fine layer of dust (or possibly tinny etchings on the inside of the otherwise clear plastic headlight cover).

Is this some king of fault that happens over time, even on a low-millage car? is there anything I can do about it?
