Is it possible to have incomming SMS messages on the move go to voice on a 2015 C207 when paired with a Samsung Galaxy S7 Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow)? The phone pairs and works correctly for normal voice incomming and outgoing hands free phone calls. My MB garage says this should work but have not been able to get it working. I previously had a 2010 C207 that sent incomming SMS messages to voice and worked perfectly when I was using a very basic Nokia Lumia 520 Windows phone.

Does your car show the SMS envelop symbol on the infotainment system display, but does not read-out the messages? Or does it not show the text messages at all?
What infotainmnet system do you have - Audio20, Audio50, COMAND NTG4.5/4.7, or COMAND NTG5*1?

Also, just to say thay my COMAND NTG4.7 works fine with both Galaxy S8 and Galaxi S9 - when the phone receives a new text message, the SMS envelop symbol appears at the top of the COMAND screen, and if I go to TEL then click on SMS and on the message, it will read it out to me.

I have to go into the menu and tell it to read out SMS via the dial (not great to do on the move, but it does it quite well when I do ask it to)
Wonder If I can do it via Lingatronic (off to RTFM now....)
If there is a way of having them read out whilst on the move automatically that would be great as kids never bleepin ever, call when I am driving to pick them up.
They text me a change and then say " why didn't you read my text"

Our 2013 e cab with Comand used to read out incoming texts and then ask if we wanted to reply by reading out a message.
This has stopped and we have no idea how to reactivate it.

My 2014 E with Comand won’t read out texts it will beep when one arrives I had to change a setting on my iPhone 7 to get it to do that though!
Check the Bluetooth setting for the car connection on your phone and enable the “Show notifications” option and see if that works!

Notifications are “on” on both phones. I’ll check car again but I thought I had previously been through all possible settings........
Edit. Just checked phone and for one of the cars there is an option to turn on text messages. On trying to turn it on (it was being uncooperative) I accidentally deleted that pairing
I’ll have to try & set it up again tomorrow
