Seriously though , i wonder if he is doing that because the oil pressure is dangerously low at idle and he didn't want it to show ?

Could be an indication of major problems ...

Wouldnt he have simply showed a picture of it switched off? I take it the pressure isnt displayed then.

A very sorry example - its probably had too much abuse for anyone to bother getting it back up to scratch again.... it'd be one hell of a project if they did!
