2012 E350s CDI Estate
Hi
My 2012 E350s estate is fitted with the panoramic sunroof. It works as it should except for the wind deflector thingy. When I bought the car the cloth part was wrapped around the bar and taped up. I managed to refit it to the slot under the edge of the roof, but it came off again. Spoke to the dealer who gave me a printout of the parts diagram. The bar the cloth is fitted to is part 110. The dealer said as the part wasn’t shown on the diagram they couldn’t help me as there was no part number 🤷 but thought I might need to buy the part 110 and it might come fitted. Has anyone else had any problems with this, and how’d you sort it. It’s bloody noisy and windy without it.

These are often made by external suppliers, VW/Porsche/Audi use Webasto panoramic roofs, likely to be the same for MB. When I had an issue with my panoramic roof on my Macan I found a local company that specialised in sunroof repairs. Worth googling 'sunroof repairs near me' to see if there are any companies that could fix it. I needed new seals because of bird damage - £1400 at Porsche, local repairer £500 and it included removing the glass to fit the main seal and then refitting and adjusting to work with a new seal.

Thanks. I’ll have a hunt about to see if I can find someone who can supply the part.

Any Mercedes sunrooves I've had were always Webasto .

Webasto used to have a place in College Milton industrial estate where they fitted aftermarket sunrooves ; I guess if still there they might do repairs .

My sister also had a Golf estate which had a problem with the panoramic sunroof when the car was less than a year old - the dealer - Inch Engineering in Bathgate replaced the entire sunroof under warranty .

Think this might have been the place , although they no longer advertise as Webasto

Here is a link to Webasto UK
