So the dreaded tailgate issues have occurred on the GL.
Tailgate opens fine from the key and lifts all the way or to any limit set.
Tailgate does not shut, kinda gives up about halfway down and has to be pushed to close.
It is almost like the lick actuator fires about halfway down and the tailgate simply stops.
The tailgate button seems to have given up as has the interior/ drivers door button - they will work occasionally.
Checked the pinch sensors, which are both working and re-filed the hydraulic pump, which looks like new, with fluid. The struts feel ok, but I did wonder if they had become too hard for the hydraulic ram over tome and as such the module thinks that the boot is shut due to force.
I have a new actuator and module on order as I am unsure if I have a scrambled module or the actuator has a fault which causes the module to think that the boot is closed.
Awaiting a fault code reader, but figured I would ask here if anyone had seen this issue!
