hope you never need any paintwork doing the bodyshops will run a mile when they see silicon

Ive just usedCIF to clean some brake dust ingrains on my wheels. Seems ok I washed them again afterwards and gave a good rinsing.
There is a plethoria of cleaning products out there for cars and household but for household cleaning you cant beat white vingar and lemon for the majority of cleaning.
 
D'ya think the finely figured veneers on my Georgian bow-fronted chest of drawers will respond well to a dose of Autoglym?

I think it depends on the finish on them now. but you probably need a natural wax, not an expensive proprietary product
