I bought a 2011. C200 cdi last week knowing it had a failed turbo( oil getting into exhaust). The previous owner had a new turbo fitted about 1 month ago. Today we fitted a new turbo but engine check light is on. Our diagnostics are telling us it has a throttle body fault.( Sorry I dont have the codes handy). We are wondering if the throttle body fault could be the reason the first turbo failed. Is there any way a throttle body could over boost enough to damage turbo seals. I would appreciate your thoughts.
