I recall Teleatlas, albeit some years ago.

TomTom owns Tele Atlas.

Navteq was bought by Nokia then rebranded as 'Here'.

I have a TomTom Go 6000 I bought 2 1/2 years ago for our Spain trip in the 968 cab. It takes an age to fire up and find where we are, updates via the PC take forever, online route planning software is pants, but I do like the 6" screen especially compared to the 4.3" Navman it replaced! Live traffic is good, as is free Europe map updates for life. Current models (Go 6100) have free speed cameras for life as well.

I've had a TomTom 6100 for quite a while now with the free maps and speed cameras I switch it between 4 older vehicles. It's not bad but over the last year it's told me about a queue of traffic just as I get to the back of it. Has yours dome this yet?

Updates for life, refers to the life of the sat-nav device, i.e. while it's still being made/supported by TomTom.
