That'd be a cracking car finished properly. I think a modern TDi suits the Ponton vibe much more appropriately rather than shoe-horning a V8 to turn it into a hot rod.
When I have my lottery-win daydream this is exactly the sort of thing I dream about throwing silly amounts of money at. So much less obvious than going and blowing it all on a Ferrari.
