I have recently got my van back from the garage after a rather long stay with them and they can not work out what's causing the light to stay on . the van is in limp but still starts and drives with all the power it should have and honestly pulls well for being in limp mode (3000rpm limit )
the vito is a 2006 2.2tdi vito and has just had new injectors, fuel lines ,filters fuel tank and service but the eml is still throwing up p2023 p2020 and p2009 codes ,when I look online it says the problem is air intake manifold shut ? but the snap-on diagnostic reader says fuel pressure rail high pressure

any suggestions on where to start would be greatly appreciated as I have spent alot on the vehicle and its a shame that all that is making it fail mot is the engine management light

Sounds like you need to get it to someone with an MB STAR diagnostic system (dealer or MB specialist independent). My Vito spent 2 weeks at a good local garage we'd used for years with our Audi before they gave up. Dealer sorted it in a day.

thank you I had thought that might be the case ,nothing against the garage I use because I've taken all my previous vehicles there an they have always been. brilliant

The garage seems to be playing parts darts and are clearly out of their depth so as suggested find a local MB specialist with Star for a correct diagnosis.

Out of interest why was the fuel tank replaced?

update : i have booked it in for the 7th April (earliest he has available) with a MB star rated specialist near me to have it looked at and mot done , the guy seems very confident that with the amount of work already been done that it just needs resetting as non specific software cant do it and he can so fingers crossed and im not overly sure why the fuel tank was replaced, apparently it had moisture inside of it but I'm pretty sure that could of been drained off and dried out but they suggested as the injectors were being replaced and all the fuel lines ect it was worth replacing the tank too

That would not convince me to change a fuel tank..

Just for clarity. A Mercedes specialist is not "Star rated" per se.

Star and Xentry are the Mercedes specific diagnostic machines that are required to trace , reset, recalibrate or recode certain faults or components that generic diagnostic machines are unable to interact with.
