Hi,
I had the Black Death and the mechanic replaced the injector and since then its not been running right. He told me that it didn’t need to be coded, but I led to believe that it should have been.
Other than the stealership is there anywhere else that can get it done? I am based near Huddersfield, if that helps.

I'm no expert on the SCN coding but have been led to believe that this is done online. A good Indy with online access to MB Germany can do this.

Ive just spoken to a local independent and they’re saying that the injectors dont need coding on my van. I have it booked in with them to run a diagnostic, but wondered if anyone had any ideas what the issue could be?
It is basically running rough. It doesn’t ahve the same power it used to and I am constantly putting my foot down to get it into the power band to get some power. It really struggles going up hill, even with a minimal load, a few hand tools and drills etc.
I am hoping that the garage can resolve the issue, but if anyone has advice in the meantime, it’d be much appreciated.

You'll need the codes reading to give any idea really,
an obvious thought is an air leak such as a ruptured intercooler, but that's just a first of many possibles.

Will the codes tell me if its the intercooler? BTW thanks for the quick replies! I was hoping someone on here might be able to read teh codes, but at least its booked in with the local Indy, just got to wait till a week on wednesday!

The codes won't say intercooler, but good diagnosis from them might.
If there is an intake air leak often you can hear a whistling when revving, but with engine noise identifying that can be difficult.

What year is the van?
