W123 200 M115
Hi All,

Hope all is well, ok my w123 (200 m115 manual) brake pad light came on,( I did top up the brake fluid ever so slightly a few weeks before the light came on.)

The brake pad light came on as I was almost home I left it for a few weeks when I went to start her up again the clutch pedal just dropped to the floor.

I checked and there looks to be no leakage from the main reservoir. I am planning to change the brakes, where shall I be checking for any leaks on the slave or master?

Or is it a simple case of changing the brakes and pumping the clutch?

I haven’t checked the level of the main reservoir since as we have had bad weather here.

any suggestions?

Thanks all

You definately have a leak if your fluid level is low and has dropped, and /or the inner seals of the cylinder have failed. Check both master and slave cylinder and the pipe interconnecting the two. Check the master cylinder from inside the footwell to see if it is leaking from the push rod seals aswell.

Thanks, will check and post back with an update
