W124 Cab...Azurite/Mushroom..cheap project or moneypit?

There are loads of pro's & cons to this one...

It is in the best colour combo, only 1 previous owner, obviously needs a gang of work, high mileage etc..... But if you look in the questions section, I think the seller implies its up for sale elsewhere for £3900 & that he's being cheeky asking for even that!

He seems adamant to let the auction end but I get a feeling something between 3-4k would leave the seller feeling over the moon...

Its never going to be a concorse queen but buy cheep & than spend wisely, & someone could have one classy looking Cabriolet that will look 10k+ but is utterly usable at the same time...

Its also had the headgasket done...

i know this car, its who i bought my crashed 220 coupe from.
i was surprised by the mileage, it looks quite well. i recall he'd had some leather work done by d class in woking.

if it was a 320 it would be on my drive by now !!! but at the end of the day its a 220.

if anyone wants a new engine or box for it, pm me !

I phoned him when it first came on eBay, since then I think he has realised what they go for and now will not end the auction early which is annoying as I think he would have taken £2,500 for it.

He can't park, "loses" service books and presents a car for sale that needs lots of TLC. Why not spend a few hundred quid to make a few grand? - because it is a dog, a rusty one...with fleas!

it wasnt the car i thought it was tbh, honest seller, i met him, it was just too up on the miles for me at what he said he would take for it, it then sold for less lol
