Is that for heated seat control on a timer?

No. I think it's for a Webasto heater that you can programme to switch on before you drive the car: warms the engine coolant up in cold weather, so the heater, etc are warmed through before you drive.

the ad says its a clock. not a pre-heater.

was there some sort of early primitive trip monitor/computer available for the 124? would that be it?

the reference to heating is the 2 switches- he is basically saying no cabling or heater pads to go with it.

hope that helps (the adverts prety crap even in the original language-unless you know xactly what you are looking at I guess!))
