I agree ... Would be very suspicious of the quality if it only cost a grand to fix all that.
Some of it is in awkward locations and can't be straight forward?
That's my old E500! Sold it in 2005. Bodywork would be £2.5k-£3k to sort as it's practically rusty all over. Ontop of that it's pretty rough around the edges with the interior etc and it has hardly any history unfortunately. It will need quite abit of money throwing at it to make it mint.
I'm very tempted but not for £5k. Could this be the next MB Club restoration project
It does have a few issues gents - I spoke to the seller and most notably it has had an accident down the drivers side and the chassis number in the windscreen just doesn't exist (presumably from the repair).
Was a nice car back in the day but always had an issue with tracking and pulling and now I know it was probably down to the accident.
Not for me I think - keep searching. Probably hold onto my M3 for another year or so then look again. They don't seem to be going up in price at all, certainly nothing in the last 10 years or so. I guess the solid ones will always demand healthy money.
We sold it for £5,800 then and it was in good nick just a little scruffy on the interior side of things.
I thought it was an E500, don't recall it being a 1992 but it must be as apparently that's what shows up on the V5. In which case, yes its a 500E with updated hood and boot.
the car needs alot of work i went with av12ram to have a look it has big rust issues and on top the car has mechanical issues as when we viewed the car wasn't running right either, very lumpy.
