I even like the colour. MOT history is pretty good too.

Looks nice but this sentence confused me as not so often seen on eBay, it’s usually fhe opposite.

I once saw the styling of the big, slab-side W140 summed up as 'get out of my way, peasants'. Very old-style Mercedes...

If they had made an S-class estate, I might have regretted it when it needed repairs, but I'd almost certainly have had one by now.

They did make a w140 estate. The S73T AMG. Not really a production car though sadly. The poor mans equivalent i suppose an S210 V8.

It's pretty. Tough to compare that price to a W220 S500.

They were extraordinary to drive at the time. Seemed so big outside but so small and easy to drive inside.

Can't shake the memory of the big black one on the back of the trailer in Paris - but that's a real shame because they were great cars to drive - and safe too - as long as you wore your bloody seatbelt.

Which usually means "Buyer will need to be exporting it because the chances of it passing an MoT in this country are non-existent". This one seems passable though.

Having owned my 1999 registered S500 for over 15 years. You are making me wonder whether it is time to pass it on to a new owner as I no longer use the car as a daily driver.
