Has anyone successfully added a bluetooth adaptor to their W203 in car system.

I don't really want to swap the entire unit out for an android one, just want to add the bluetooth feature so I can play music from my phone.

Do you have the phone pre-wiring (probably in the centre armrest)? If so, it should be a piece of cake to put a puck in to connect your phone.

Music is a little more complex.

It has the puck thing, looks like a really old phone. Have tried to connect a couple of phones to it but without luck.

Not sure how you remove it though.

there you go.

Ah! That's a peculiar beast; it only works with handsets that will let it clone them. - Most smart phones would require you to install after-market software to enable the feature.

I took it out and put a Viseeo MB-2 in my CLK. - There should be a little release button on it which then lets you slide it backwards and off the fitting.

The other alternative is to take the back cover off it and just install a SIM card directly in to it; then it behaves like a car phone. - I never got this to work, I think my antenna amplifier is shot so although it can see a phone it never had any reception.

I think that little black button by the Merc logo is how you remove it, push it down then slide the whole thing back.

I recently brought a Viseeo MB-2 from ebay for mine and works just fine :) It'll go exactly were your unit there goes.

If you haven't already sorted it.

You can use a viseeo MB-2 which just gives you phone functions a viseeo MB-4 which does phones and some media playback music ext though i read some are glitchy with connections which put me off or you can get the mercedes one in Alfie's link just do your research (wee bit of googling) on the part numbers because there are a few versions i found when looking and they look identical. The good thing is you have the connection in the arm rest which is half the battle my mb-2 was £100 on ebay.

Cheers for all the info, the unit came out quite easilly when I pushed the little button next to the logo.

I'm not sure I can justify £280 just to be able to use my phone in the car. I'll see what's available on ebay.

I have the genuine MB HFP adapter in my C class W203 it syncs immediately as you get in the car and allows you to use the buttons on your steering wheel to access the phone via the screen between speedo and rev counter (a bit primitive by 2017 standards, but it works) the circular phone button control unit on the dashboard does not work with this unit.

it works for phone only, not streamed music. Don't pay full price, shop around £100 Max. Someone on this forum gave one away not that long ago.

I may be able to help..... I have a Fiscon pro that was in my W203 Coupe for 5 months and installed and removed by Command.com professionally.... These retail for £380 and they allow both bluetooth connectivity and streaming of tunes from your mobile....

Fiscon Pro Bluetooth Phone Kit for Mercedes Benz (MOST based cars) | Phone System Retrofit Kits | Mercedes Retrofits | Comand Online Ltd

I'll let this go for £200 to a forum member... a great bit of kit and good saving from new....

By the look of the image I assume you need to pull the dash apart to fit it.

Yes but we can do you a good deal to fit it all.

Don't be put off by having to take the dash apart Howard, Its installed and configured very easily and you'd not have a clue your car has been apart. Rob Nunn at Command.com has done all the work on my cars across the years and his attention to detail and knowledge is second to none....

Hi! I`m new user. Could you write a part number of UHI Mercedes Bluetooth? It should start with B 678 ..... and what are the last digits?
regards
