Mercedes C class estate
Hi , I have a 2013 c class estate which has a problem with the rear window alarm system. The car will sit for 3 to 4 hours then the alarm goes off, the star check I had done indicates that the fault is a broken rear window although it is not broken. I would expect the alarm to go off straight away if there is a fault on the windows sensors. I fitted a new battery thinking it may be a voltage drop but that didn't resolve it. Could it be the siren internal batteries need replacing or siren replacement. Any suggestions would be gratefully received.

This is the problem. The windows don't have alarm sensors.
Get yourself a new alarm siren. Approx £110 from the main dealers.
It's a direct replacement with no coding needed. It's behind the rear arch liner against the bulkhead on the offside front.
Item # 50 in the parts diagram below.

Many thanks for that.
