W204 - Heated steering wheel?

Was the W204 (C63 AMG in my case, if it matters) ever offered with a heated steering wheel option? My last few cars all had it and they were all older than my C63, given it has things like speed limit recognition and heated seats it seems odd that it doesn't have heated steering wheel. I'm interested in retrofitting that if at all possible.

No slim.

Seems astonishing that my wife's old 2008 W164 M Class had heated steering, but not my 2013 C Class :)

I take it then that there's no known path to retrofit this to a UK spec W204 based on common parts from other models, e.g. E, S or M class models?

I can honestly say.....that since I drove my Mk 2 Escort with a hard plastic steering wheel back in 85 (which was either freezing cold....or so hot you literally could not touch it!!)...Ive never got into a car and thought....Ooh...that steering wheel is cold!!

I have a mate that runs a Corsa that is described as in the "Lower Level Class" as far as "Bells & Whistle's go" But his has the Heated Steering Wheel as Standard!:wallbash:

@8bit I was just thinking the exact same thing, wondering if I could retrofit a heated steering wheel. My hubby’s Lexus had one and although I thought it was a waste of money adding it on when it was getting built, I can honestly say I eat my words afterwards. Such luxury! Shame it can’t be done.

My BMW came with a heated wheel (option added by original owner). It wasn't on my 'must have list' of features when I was looking, but I have to say it is rather pleasantly toasty!

Have a little diesel fiesta s 2012 full two tone leather heated front and back seats , heated steering wheel , keyless entry 1.6 diesel loaded to the max body kits etc , brilliant little car and no rd tax , never below 50 m p g. Now reached 114000 mls and apart from brakes tyres and oil never failed don’t think I could ever part with it now .
Neither my glc or E have heated steering wheel and must admit I miss it both the v w and the 2 previous BMWs I had had it , you get used to it especially when it can be heated before you leave the house on the b m.

My first Jaguar XKR didn't have it and I never missed it, until my wife bought a W164 M Class which had heated steering wheel. After the first winter with that car I managed to retrofit one to the XKR. It was an option on that model so getting the parts wasn't too hard but enabling it was a different story. My second XKR had it as standard. I never thought the C63 wouldn't have it - it has stuff like speed limit sign recognition after all!

Do you have to pay a monthly subscription to keep it enabled? ;)

The heated steering wheel on my Hyundai is by far the best single feature on this car, that I've never had before :thumb:

(The HUD is in second place)

Nope. The F30/31 generation 3 series luckily missed out on the new BMW model of paying a subscription for extra features. The original owner spent nearly £4K ticking the options boxes on my car; all of which I now enjoy free gratis.:thumb:

Sorry, that was a cheap shot at BMW!
