W209 Soft top problem

Hello there I am new here and I have a problem with my 2006 Clk . When I try to open the soft top i hear the mechanism working and the top not moving . If I push by hand a little then it works fine. Then , when i close the top begins nicely and when the top is close to the front it goes fast and hit a little to the front and closes ok. I now that it is not supposed to close so fast and that there is a problem. If anyone can help please.

Have you checked the hydraulic oil level ???

Try lubricating all the joints , especially the ones under the flaps on the bow deck where the rear window section engages .
