I have myself a 2007 facelift e320 and I love it.
However it's had ABS issues for the last 6 months. Firstly the rear left sensor threw a code (implausible wheel speed) but a new sensor and then a new ABS ring sorted this.
Now I have 2 new codes for front left and rear right wheels saying there is no signal (the codes are U1409 and U140C). Both came on at the same time which makes me think it's not a sensor or ring issue. Sometimes the ECL comes on straight away, other times it's 20 mins into a drive. My thoughts point to a poor connection somewhere but all cables look good to me
I was told the brake switch was worth changing which I did but this didn't change anything.
Also when changing the brake switch there were 2 options. A 4 pin switch and a 2 pin switch. Mine was a 4 pin one so I swapped that out but noticed there was also a 2 Pin connector on the same cabling for the brake switch. This was just taped to the 4 pin cable. Both look factory built but there is nothing for this 2 pin connector to plug in to. Even the cable colours are different.
Any ideas where to start with this issue? TIA
