So as we know the intake on W211 likes to crack. Buying new from dealer cost fortune and china replacement not always are the best and can crack as well. I had my second one fitted and this has cracked as well. Didn't want to buy from dealer or China so i got it modified. I had problem with the flaps actuator so it was time to solve both problems. You have to remove the intake, cut it around 2mm from the side pipe and insert the modified part. You can use silicone on the join just to be sure but anyway it should not leak anymore. From the orange seal you have to cut all the nibbles . I know it can be done nicer :D but I'm not mechanic and was doing it bit in rush :) Its quick and easy job.

Hi I was experiencing the same issues on my E320, cracked air intake where it clamps onto turbo. Even with new red seals I could not get the leak to stop. So after a bit of research I opted to buy a silicone hose with a branch for breather on it and fitted it a couple of months ago.
I bought it off a turbo zentrum and it seems to have worked a treat. I tried posting a couple of pics showing how it looks but I keep getting a message saying download too large.

Reduce the size of the picture when you get the option of “actual size”

Looking good . Good work buddy .
That looks like the old style pcv tube coming into the side of the turbo , it’s worth changing to a new one for long term engine health . The old pcv get splits in them and let too much oil and water sludge through to the turbo

Is it just the tube I should change or the complete breather assembly and is it a dealer part only

It’s a complete unit from the pcv to the orange seal at the other end . Mine was from eBay
