Hi,

The drivers side front spring has just gone bang and the car is sitting rather low. In terms of replacement i'm aware of the problems some folk have with w211 springs and wondered do I go merc direct or eibach or sachs?

As the car is a sport is that the equivalent of an avantgarde spec spring or something entirely different?

Thanks in advance.

There are so many variations of Merc road springs by build runs.

I would go to MB dealer (ugh) and get the correct one from your vin data

Just to mention,it's best to change in pairs for vehicle height.

The springs have coloured dots on them to allow easy matching . I cross matched these colours using the AUTODOC site with Sachs shocks and springs as that’s what came off my car .

I have a pair of standard W211 (S211) front springs here if you are looking a pair. They came off my Avantgarde however? I can check and see if they have any markings etc when I get home?
