W211 passenger door lock

Hi all

My passenger door lock has decided it doesn’t want to work with the central locking anymore. Have to manually lock it by pushing the pin down and then unlock using interior handle.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

How would I find that out?

Code reader said ‘output for the central locking motor has a malfunction’

same, probably broken wire across the hinge, be a case of tracing the wires unplugging and removing the wire protection to find the break

Ah right. I tried to remove the plug to expose wires behind rubber bolt but no luck. I’ve ordered a new motor just in case when I strip the door it’s faulty

quick update, turned out to be the door lock. Swapped for another one and now it’s all working again
