W212 facelift dashcam?

Hi all. I'm pondering my dashcam.options and I've seen mention of an 'official MB' integrated one that appears to fit onto/replace the panel behind the rear view mirror.
That seems ideal as I'm keen to avoid a bulky monstrosity stuck to the middle of the windscreen (why do people do that???).
What's the script - is it retrofittable? Is it semi-decent?

I have a Thinkware U1000 with rear camera, waited for Christmas sale and purchased 2 sets. However will need to purchase 1 more for the other car.

The unit records in HD, also has fix speed cameras locations and mobile camera warnings. Very good but rather expensive.

Thanks, I'm aware of the multitude of alternative options - my last car had a very stealthy install of a Nextbase one. This post though, is specifically about the MB option due to it's unobtrusive fitment

Thanks but that only lists new equipment. The only 'assistance' product listed for my 2014 model is a memory card

I looked into a dash cam.....then came to the conclusion that if I was stopped the most likely person it would incriminate would be me!....so I didn't!

That is precisely why I don't have any on my bikes! It's also the reason I'm looking for a stealthy option for the car
