If I replace the main battery on a 2019 w213 350d, will it need to be recoded or is it self learning?

It's
Why is a 2019 battery being replaced ?

They do more than start it up 👌

My c207 dash would light up like a Xmas tree at times on a 5 year old battery .

Amps start a car , voltage runs systems.

Very common these days.....on many modern cars regardless of make. Car are much more power hungry and more voltage sensitive than cars from previous decades.

my 2019 has been through two batteries, one covered under warranty, 2nd one not as warranty battery doesn't have warranty... ? in just over a year the first replacement died because some keyless module wouldn't shut off, software update and another new battery later been the best its ever been, even leaving it for a month car started on a trickle charger most of the time now.

My 2018/19 glc is on its 2nd AGM. 39,000 miles. Previous owner ,short school runs killed it.

Made to MB specs. They are not all the same.
I used to produce circuit boards for mercedes airbag modules , although most were the same by design, the ones for mercedes were always ran with high end components. Capacitors , resistors, rom chips etc etc .the process was at mercedes asking also, Fiat ones were basically cheap as !!!

Shame they don’t use high end components for the terrible AdBlue systems. 😆 An aftermarket battery with a five year warranty, for half the price, will do me fine.

So going back to my original posting, can I just disconnect the leads, replace battery, re-attach leads just like in the old days?

Yes you can, you may have to reset the windows and mirrors but that’s it.
