w218 car alarm keeps going off for no aparent reason.

As above. Is there a way to temporarily dissable the alarm or of locking the car without setting the alarm while I get it investigated?

Is there a separate fuse for the alarm?
Can you turn off the alarm from the overhead control panel, then lock the car? That works if you have a dog or children you want to keep secure inside the car without the alarm sounding.
If not you may have to disconnect the plug from the alarm to disable it.
The usual cause is the internal battery failing and a replacement alarm the only fix.
Last one I bought was around £100. It's an easy DIY once the arch liner is removed.

You can disable interior alarm and tow away alarm, usually button at the overhead control panel. Lock the car with the mechanical key to disable the alarm completely (not permanently, just this one time).

Sounds like defective siren for the alarm.

If so, I think on W218 it is located in the front near side wheel arch like many other models.

You could disable the alarm from sounding by simply disconnecting the plug for the siren by removing wheel arch lining for access until you get replacement. Approx cost is £100ish for replacement.

Yeah could be various things but most common is Alarm siren battery going bad. I'm based in Surrey too if you need a hand or anything

At this time of year it is often spiders. Try disabling the interior protection (with the switch in the car, probably in the over-head-control panel) and seeing if it still happens. If it stops, hunt the small arachnid!

Just bought our 350d GLE Premium + on a 71 plate and had it about 10 days.

Problem: alarm goes of intermittently

As it is still under warranty take it back to a dealer and let them investigate the problem and fix it.

Thanks for the feedback, rather hoping there was a quick fix however, your right I may as well take it to get looked at

As the problem is unknown it isn't really possible to offer a quick fix.

If under warranty then the best advice is not to try to "fix" it yourself and possibly void the rest of the warranty.
