Simple one please, has anyone changed the front Bush on the suspension arm (arm that connects shock ab and roll bar) on their car? Can't seem to find a DIY nor the Bush itself. Please help

Has this arm also got a ball joint on one end?

Yes it has. The arm connects the bottom of the strut and the bottom of the drop link

Then I would replace the whole arm. If the bushing is worn then I would expect wear in the ball joint as well.

Far simpler to change the arm. Lemforder are good quality and not expensive 👍

The ball joint isn't attached to the arm I'm sure.

I would still have to press in the ball joint
Sorry. I thought the arm in question had a ball joint at one end and a bush at the other?

Have you a picture?

Your thinking of the thrust arm. Ball joint one end and Bush at the other

I asked if it had a ball joint on one end and you said yes hence my asking for a picture.

In terms of pressing in a bushing. Your local garage will almost certainly have a hydraulic press and could press the new bushing in for you?

I know that on MB Torque struts the Bush is replaceable but I thought that the ball joints on all arms were pre fitted?

I may well be wrong.

If you can replace the ball joint and bush it may still be best to ask your local garage to use their press so you just have to bolt the arm to the car?

In the distant past I have fitted bushes using a threaded bar, large washers and nuts with wrenches to guide the Bush into its position but I have long given up trying and just let my indie do the work 😁

I admire your attitude and wanting to repair it yourself!

Sorry if I have confused things 👍👍

This one here looks clean. eBay item.

To DIY you'd need both bushes and the small ballpoint .
