07 vito
Greetings!

I own an 07 vito with 1 piece middle row seats. Is it possible to swap it out for the 2+1 seat configuration and have the 2 seats face backwards, disregarding the singular seat into the oblivion of my garage. Ive tried to see if itd work with the 3 seater but the legs dont line up with the rails if its reversed. Has any1 also had experience with fitting a vito with seats that fold into a bed or forwards, as the reason i wqnt to reverse the rear seats in the first place is to have a bit more room to sleep in the back while also still being able to carry passengers.
Thanks in advance!

I have an 07 plate Vito with 2+1 centre row seating. As you say, the seats slot into the floor rails in a particular direction - pretty sure you can't put them in back to front. In terms of modification 'anything is possible' - it's just a question of how difficult it would be! I would start by looking to see if it might be possible to reverse the floor rails.

You know that the seat backs fold flat (forwards) btw? You can then flip the seats forward if you want, so they're up against the front seats. The backs also recline quite a long way, although not to the horizontal. The single seat only uses one floor fixing and attaches to the 2 seat unit on the other side. We mostly run ours without the single seat:

I run with my bench backed up to the front seats, and facing rearwards.
I have removed the single end seat, but pretty sure I could refit it if desired.
My reason is so that Mishka can use the double part, with a base plate and foam atop and covers over all that.
In the event of the frontal impact she will be constrained by the backrests of the 2 seats of the bench.

Some years back I made a plate that would sit on top of 2 rear captain seats, with their backrests flat.
It then unfolded in 3 sections when needed.
There are 3 folding legs toward the front of the middle. Unfolded the front of the plate rests on 2 supports secured to the B pillar. There's a bar that sits between those uprights.

Bedding on top of that with pillows up against the front seats.
That provides bed space the full width of the van, and as long as we needed.
Being the xl there was still luggage space behind, and some at the front
It is weighty, but in / out as required and a bed is there when needed.

In truth a Sprinter would make for a better camper, as the bed could be crossways. The 639 is too narrow for that.

My idea would be to have the same sort of seat just facing backwards. The question is if its possible because each seat "leg" has w pins in the front and 2 in the back but im wondering if the geometry is the same.
changing the brackets and such is out of the question as its quite difficult to modify cars like that where im from.
Currently i habe just the 1 bench seat with 3 seats that doesnt fold or anything.

Im just tall enough to be able to sleep in the back, on the floor with my feet just beneath the seat. If i could face the seats backwards i could probs have just enough room to not have my feet beneath the seats. It would also give me more access to storage because right now if im keeping my stuff in the front or on the middle seats i have to reach over the seats or go out and around, but with them facing back it would be more of a single room not 2 rooms separated by seats.
