I have a 1993 W124 sedan with hydraulic suspension. I will repair the leveling valve and do not know which oil it is. Also searching for a gasket kit for the valve.

Its ZH-M hydraulic fluid IIRC.

The gasket would be a dealer item IMO. ZH-M too probably

ZHM , available from your dealership , about a tenner for a 1 litre bottle last time I bought it .

Hydraulically operated soft tops on the likes of the R129 also use the same mineral oil .

Citroen use a very similar green mineral oil in their suspensions , could be used in an emergency, but you’d then be best to flush the system and refill with the correct fluid , I’ve read that it isn’t a good idea to mix them .

Citroen uses L-HM.
I knew it was different , but believe it can be used in emergency, as long as system is flushed afterwards .

Same is probably true re other hydraulic oils
