Hi everyone, I hope you’re keeping well. I'm Gareth.
Since February of this year I’ve become the owner of an 2019 (68) A220 AMG Line Premium. The car is fantastic but have noticed a few things which I really want to get sorted.
I would like My MBUX to be updated as it is still on FUP0 or FUP1. I cannot view the System Info anywhere - would like this to be updated FUP3/081. I have been having general problems with MBUX and Mercedes Me. Despite my car being linked to my account and me subscribing to packages, the app on my phone just will not do anything with the car. I cannot update the maps, software, perform any kind of OTA update or command from the phone app at all.
On top of this, my car has the Augmented Reality Sat Nav / Traffic Light View etc which uses the inbuilt dashcam… yet Mercedes Me says I cannot purchase it..because my car doesn’t have it? Assume this is down to the car’s firmware being out of date? Have had other problems such as the reverse camera randomly opening and POI alerts not working on the sat nav map.
I know Merc dealers are reluctant to do software updates but do genuine problems such as the ones i’ve highlighted above qualify them to at least try?
i’m booked in for 2 weeks time, if anyone could please give me a tip on how I can convince them to update MBUX for me that’d be great!
Should also add I never see a 4G symbol in the car, presume the communications module would need an update too..?
