Winter Mode

Morning guys,

9 speed w447 is there a gearbox winter mode?

On the Volvo you flick it to manual and can nudge it up in to second to have a less aggressive start off.

I’ve skimmed through the manual and can’t see anything unless it’s called something different?

My ancient 722.6 5 speed pulls away in 2nd unless sport (S) mode is selected. I think they are all pretty much set up that way .

I think mine is supposed to be Standard and Winter. I much prefer the drive when it's set to Winter. Proper hill hold too. I read somewhere that how the the settings are described in the manual is just down to year and market. So (S) Sport = (S) Standard, (W) Winter = (C) Comfort. Not sure how true all that is.

On Mine S is supposedly 'sport' it pulls away in first and revs all the way through the gears.I hardly use it pulling away in 1st all of the time in a 5.4 V8 becomes a bit tiresome.

All there is in the Vito are comfort, sport and manual. After driving it yesterday and messing around it did appear to stay off in 2nd in comfort mode and 1st in sport mode.

Didn’t get chance in manual mode so I’ll try that today and see if it 2nd can be selected while stationary.
