Hi all.
Have decided to fit Winter tyres again as I am in rural France for the Winter.
Bought 4 used little Goodyears which came with 4 Alutec Alloy wheels in good condition.
I have used an online tyre calculator as my original wheels are 225 55 17 7j ET56 & the new wheels are 225 55 17 7.5j ET35 which apparently equates to 14.7mm away from the suspension strut & the rim will stick out 27.4mm more. It doesn't sound much to me- will this be ok & can I use my existing wheels bolts?
If not I will just put the tyres on my current rims & sell the alloys.
Any help appreciated as always. Robtyre pic.jpg

Both wheels and tyres need to be load rated, if only to keep insurance happy in the event.

I can see the tyres are 101V which is correct for summer tyres on the later Vianos. I can't see a spec for all season or winter's in that size, but would 'assume' it to be ok.

As for the offset, while I couldn't tell you I would suggest fitting them to see what clearance you have.
For the wheel bolts measure to see if there is any difference in the protruding thread of the different wheels, by pushing a bolt through each type.

Different offset could possibly upset steering geometry - at its worst when ABS invoked.

Swap your tyres over.

Thanks all. I will get the tyres swapped.
