Whilst searchig throu WIS they keep mentioning that before starting any electrical work and disconnecting the battery, you fit a quiescent current retention unit accross the battery connections. I persume that this unit which looks quite small in the diagrams is in fact a small 12 volt battery. Has anyone any experience of these units, ie the current capacity in amps?

If you look deeper the name of the supplier and the phone number is also listed. Modders generally work on live cars.
