Just in case there are any petrolheads out there ;)

 That film rules ......

That chase with the old school Merc and the 5 series ...... doh ray me !!

anyone seem the transporter?

they manage a BMW and a Merc chase in that! along with a truck race and some unbelievable fight sequences including one in a bus depot!

If they can make a film as good as RONIN, how come they are allowed to make films like transporter?

and what colour is that damn boat shed in Hereford?

Ps. I lent transporter dvd to my dad over xmas. I told him it was the worst film ever, before he had seen it, he informed me that starship troopers was the worst film ever (Its the 3rd worst). After he watched it, he agreed it was the worst ever. I shall lend him driven in a few weeks....that may add to the flavour of worst films in the world! I mean, Stallone driving a champ car with no helmet through the streets of LA? come on! He was chasing the Mercedes Benz powered one to keep it on MB lines!

PPS dont aks me to lend you any films.. i only collect the worst!

Barron Munchausen (spelling??) is the worst I've ever seen. The second half might have been great though - I'd already walked out by then!!

Anyone seen TAXI? - Merc 500E's getting beaten by a Peugeot 406 - CLASSIC!!

We had the misfortune of seeing the Starsky and Hutch movie it was an absolute stinker - got to be a contender for the worst film ever made

Andy

Talking of shocking films, anyone catch the re-make of Vanishing Point the other night? I hadn't realised there was one. It was really cheesey and not a patch on the original - maybe it's just a sign I'm getting old though if I prefer the original!!??

I find Vanishing Point is like Duel - a big part of the appeal is that there is no real story - the film just happens, a bit like things just happening in real life. The re-make lost all that by trying to make a story out of it to justify why Kawolski (spelling??) is razzing it across America.

Petrol-head films are like porn films. You're watching it for the action, and don't give a monkey about the story line!! ;)

Vanishing Point is my all time fave film,I even had to go and buy a Challenger to get it out my system...Kowalski was a true hero,My Chally had drums all round, didn't handle, and your **** was numb after 30 miles....sounded great though!! The remake was made for TV I think, but it had more cars in it,the chase with the Charger and the Challenger made it all worthwhile!!

I watched Romeo Must Die over the weekend and it's pretty poor but the use of MBs is cool, Jet Li is an MB enthusiast (IIRC his cousin posts on one of the USA forums), there are some amazing shots of a W140 in the opening credits and Jet Li trashes a C43 in a car chase later on.

Boat shed would be SBS :)

I've got Ronin on DVD - great film!

the transporter is ok,the transporter 2 is too over the top

Heer Ford, i thought , where the hells that ?...

Then i worked out he was saying Hereford in American ....

Ronin is a great film, DeNiro and Jean Reno are excellent in it.

The way that old S Class get hussled around is really impressive, i suspect it's a 6.9 but I don't know for sure.

I almost bought an Audi S8 on the back of this film.

i heard they wrecked over 20 s-classes whilst trying to shoot that film!
